New project

Hello everyone :) It is time to show you my new project or what I have done of it so far lol. I have been wanting to do some sort of magical witchy house for a long time but never seemed to get round to it. This house is one of those small houses open at the back. I have never "done" anything much to the outside of my houses except paint one lol But this time I decided to be brave and try some ideas. I  admire  the very generous bloggers that show you how to make so many things.Thank you all so much.

This is the sides I saw a tutorial somewhere sorry I cant remember where that used crumpled up tissue paper so that's what I did I stuck it on  then painted it with a few different  browns terracotta and black till it looked a bit like tree bark.
I have also done the roof I cut strips of heavy paper and made the tiled roof again painted with greys and a few other colours thrown in for good measure :D I still have to add some moss to it. Wow I much admire the people that do all these things to all their houses its hard work and takes much more time but I also had so much fun :DD
The " bricks" are cardboard packaging I didn't have enough egg cartons but I had this packaging that worked so I tore it up into very small bits stuck them on and painted phew was that hard work lol.

I am rather pleased with the result.

I also made this door from scratch. I used coffee stirrers and findings the arch was a piece of scrap wood.
I have already bought these fantastic items from someone I admire and think of as a very special friend Birgit BiWuBaren on the Blog. The owl on the door was a gift from her.

Isn't this house just amazing. I knew when I saw these on her etsy that I had to do this house and I had to have these for it :)))

She also sent me so many wonderful extra gifts.
Thank you so much Birgit  I have ideas for all these :) and this is why I am watching Gertie's project with Lots of interest :D
I have lots and lots more to do with this project it will keep me busy for quite some time :D Next time I will tell you who will live and work in this house ;-)
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs to all my friends.

And I am totally in awe... you've worked faster than the speed of light. So much work already done with the exterior - wonderful job, it looks fantastic. And thanks for your lovely words about my miniatures. *blush* I'm proud that these guys will find a place in this fantastic witch house... and I'm very curious to see who is going to be the very lucky inhabitant.

Hugs

Wow Maria,
What a great project. You've already done an amazing start. I'm very interested in your progress, as I too, want to build
a house for Balaatova the ageless witch.
Now I'll have both yours and Birgit's
projects to inspire me.
A big hug, Drora

Después de un tiempo estar separada de este mundo que me encanta, me doy cuenta que me he perdido unas miniaturas fantásticas. Espero poco a poco ponerme al día y volver a retomar esta actividad que tanto me gusta.
